About the Coalition
The TPS-DED Administrative Advocacy Coalition calls on U.S. administrations to broadly & boldly use blanket protections Temporary Protected Status & Deferred Enforced Departure to safeguard human life, to keep families united, to build a strong U.S. economy and communities, and to promote a U.S. foreign policy rooted in upholding human rights for all.
About
Founded in 2017, and formerly called the TPS Advocacy Working Group, the TPS-DED Administrative Advocacy Coalition advocates for the White House and Department of Homeland Security to designate TPS and DED for all countries where safe return is impossible. In its advocacy, the Coalition makes clear that TPS and DED are vital tools that are readily available to U.S. administrations and can and should be used expansively. In addition to big picture policy around TPS and DED and advocacy for individual countries in need of protection, the Coalition engages with USCIS to address systemic issues surrounding the implementation of TPS and DED decisions.
Steering Committee & Coalition Members
The TPS-DED Administrative Advocacy Coalition is a national coalition of more than 100 organizations with deep expertise in law and policy surrounding TPS and DED, country conditions, foreign policy, and USCIS implementation. TPS-DED AAC member organizations range from community-based organizations directly serving impacted communities in the United States to international NGOs, working in and providing insight from affected countries.
